The attempt to build a mosque at Ground Zero in New York City just shows the contempt that a great deal of the Islamic world has for the United States. What is worse is that it shows the contempt our own politicians have for the United States. That is something that only the citizens can rise up and fix.

I often find that to get the real news of what is happening in this country, I have to listen to the news organizations from overseas. They aren't in bed with the powers that be here and I get a more honest assessment.

One of the more interesting viewpoints is from Pat Condell's blog (from London). He recently posted a video discussion on the topic of why they want to build this so bad and the real reasons for it. I think it would be worth the time of every U.S. citizen to watch and understand. This building is more than just a NYC problem.
